Apparent Winds offers SV Resilience as an affordable, sustainable research vessel. Our vessel’s size and needs allow us to provide essential resources at a much lower cost.
Traditional research vessels are typically the largest expense in marine research and rely heavily on fossil fuels to operate, yet their extensive capacity is unnecessary for most projects. SV Resilience, as a sailing vessel, requires minimal fuel and offers an economical, sustainable alternative for conducting research at sea.
Each season, SV Resilience carries a rotating array of specialized scientific instruments on board. We also encourage scientists to bring their own equipment to take advantage of our vessel’s flexible and supportive research environment.
